Nomination of Rodolfo Lopez Jr. to the City of San Diego's International Affairs Board

April 26, 2018

I am pleased to nominate Rodolfo Lopez Jr. to the City of San Diego's International Affairs Board.

Mr. Lopez is a longtime resident of the South Bay and has extensive binational involvement and experience. He has business partnerships in Tijuana as well as involvement with his family's business, La Bodega Markets, located throughout South San Diego.

Rodolfo currently serves on numerous Boards and Committees including Border View Family YMCA Board of Advisors, San Ysidro Community Planning Group, San Ysidro Chamber of Commerce & Business Association, San Ysidro Air Study Community Steering Committee, and San Diego Padres Hispanic Community Advisory Council.

He enjoys coaching his son's Southwest Little League team and is a regular participant in neighborhood beautification events in his community.

I strongly recommend his appointment to the International Affairs Board.
