SAN DIEGO (May 21, 2015) – Councilmember Alvarez has issued the following statement in response to the San Diego City Council’s approval today to rescind the previous approval of the One Paseo Project:
“On Monday, I moved to delay the Council vote for three days, and urged all parties to use the additional time to reach a compromise. I’m pleased to announce that these efforts were successful, and by voting to rescind the original project, a better project that has the support of the community can now move forward.”
“This has only been possible through the hard work of the Carmel Valley community. They never gave up and continued to push for a better project that will unite, instead of divide, the community.”
